Saturday Six – Photography
Gotta post this make up meme before checking out educational childrens textbooks for my DD, this is actually last weeks set of Saturday Six, since there’s no new set for this week, I’ll just post this from last week though…
No, this ain’t my camera….just Dreaming of this though…..
- Do you use a Digital or Film camera? ** Digital
- Do you print the photos yourself or get them printed for you? ** I print them myself
- Do you upload your photos to sites such as fickr or photobucket? ** I have accounts on both
- Do you photo anything and everything or does your camera only come out on special occasions such as birthdays etc.? ** I take photos on anything and everything I fancy my eyes on
- When was the last time you upgraded to a new camera? ** Last year
- If you could have any camera on the market which one would you choose and why? The Nikon D700 because it has all the features that I really really like, it’s quite pricey though and so just in case somebody reads this and will give me one as a gift the Nikon D90 will just fine with me as well.
Souvenirs
This is actually last weeks Friday 5, since I wasn’t able to answer due to internet problems, well, here I am just backtracking.
So, here goes my answers for last weeks set:
- When you travel, what kinds of souvenirs do you like to bring home for yourself? ** anything that interests me and it depends on what they are specializing.
- Is there a certain kind of souvenir you always bring back for a particular someone? ** nothing in particular, I usually bring food from my travels but I wanted to try and collect snow globes or dolls from my travel though.
- Of the souvenirs you’ve collected from your travels, what are some that have special meaning for you? ** A shirt I bought from Cagayan de Oro City a city in Mindanao where my officemates and I went when we were sent for immersion.
- What’s the silliest souvenir you’ve brought back for yourself, or what’s the silliest souvenir someone has brought back for you? ** a popular tribal totem that is believed to bring fertility to the person
- If you were going to send someone a souvenir from places you visited today, what might it be? ** probably shirts, I wanted to make sure the souvenirs I give out are usable not just plain decoration.
Password Dillema & Horse Supplies
Well, I am so stressed the past few days, I cannot remember my wordpress password for my other blog and now I cannot seem to log in, and the bad thing is I even forgot which email I used when I initially created the blog. What a Bummer!, and to think I have 5 opps waiting on that blog for me to finish, good thing I was able to request for the opps to be moved here on this blog for the meantime while I am trying to figure out where I can retrieve the password. So to all those wordpress genuises out there… I need your expertise. I really need to get that blog up and running again.
On the other hand my uncle in the province has been asking me to help him out in looking for horse supplies downtown or even here online, apparently there are new horses coming in and they need extra more supplies for that matter. I can still remember my son having a great time when we visited them, he had fun riding the horses. I will never have second thoughts in helping them out in terms of looking for new supplies.
Well, I have to go back and figure out how to fix this password issue on my other blog so till later y’all.
Friday Fill In

Gotta go on a halt for now, I have to watch this interesting story on ET News about a woman who gave birth of octuplets and the story about the man that claims to be the father of the babies. The story has been a worldwide sensation and is very controversial. I was just wondering though if they had let the man claiming to be the father undergo paternity test to prove his fatherhood. I Camped
Well I am proud to say that I have attended my first camping at Mt. Makiling Laguna last weekend, I am not really fond of campings maybe because of the fact that I hates being a part of the Girl Scouts when I was young, I don’t know, just not my thing. But last weekend I can say I enjoyed the fact of being outdoors, probably because of the fact as well that it was my first time in Mt. Makiling. We had as long trip so when we arrived, my DD was just fast asleep, it was actually a Family Day event of the school where H used to attend during his grade school and high school days specifically the Boy Scouts camping activity which he and her sister are involved in . Most of his friends in the camping activity were there as well as her sister, bro in law and kid so it was fun. My DD had fun playing with the other kids and exploring the site. It was a great experience just to get away of all the hustle & bustle. And the fun part, I get to eat Buko Pie from Colletes Original after. Will be posting pics after my sis in law uploaded them all, my digicam got busted, yup, what a bummer.
On Comfort Food and TV Stands
There is no match to devouring to your comfort food after all the hustle and bustle, all the hard days work and all that. Although I love chocolate, I cannot say that this is actually my comfort food though. But here goes what it says after the quiz I took.
When you’re stressed out, you crave intense pleasure.
And you’re willing to skip a proper meal and proceed directly to the food you like best. You find solace in hedonism and luxury. You tend to turn your nose up at most traditional comfort foods. Somewhat surprisingly, trying a new food (especially a new type of chocolate) can be the most comforting thing for you.
Well, the result seems to be fine but I disagree with the chocolate part, gotta head out and look for tv stands, yes, remember my last post? we haven’t bought a tv stand just yet, the tv is still on the floor so we gotta decide now.!

1.) What’s one of the simple pleasures in your life?
** having a loving and supportive family
2.) What do you like to snack on when you watch a movie?
** most of the time chips, microwavable popcorn and or pizza, I am actually not picky in terms of what I eat so anything edible is fine and speaking of watching movies, especially at home, wouldn’t it be nice to have an electric blanket to snuggle on? I just discovered this type of blanket and I am just amazed on how it works.
3.) If you were a Survivor contestant, what would be your luxury item? wow, first of all I would never dream to be a part of the show but just for kicks, probably a bath set.
And The Oscars Goes To……….
Well, this is kind of a late post for Oscars but I did happen to watch the show last February 23 on cable. As always the gowns were outstanding not to mention Angelina Jolie’s and just how handsome Brad Pitt was, unfortunately he didn’t win the Best Actor award for his performance in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, instead Sean Penn bagged the tittle for his preformance in the 70′s (or was it 60′s) inspired movie MILK. Kate Winslet which won Best Actress looked quite old her age, or was it the hair? I really wasn’t able to recognize her till I looked closely enough. Penelope Cruz won Best Actress in a supporting role and the late Heath Ledger for best Actor in a supporting role as well fgor the movie The Dark Knight. Slumdog Milionaire won most of the awards including Best Musical Score, Best Picture and all that. I wanst reall ya ble to watch the movie, so I cannot comment much if it was worth it or not. Beyonce performed with host Hugh Jackman, not that impressive but was ok I can say.
So, there goes my say on the recenty concluded Oscars. I wasnt able to watch the whole part of it though so if you want to know the entire list of the winners just visit Oscars official site.
